UpRise in the Evening Standard

Posted by admin on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 · 2 Comments

It has been a busy week for the UpRise team, preparing and fundraising UpRise 2011. As you may know we are a minuscule team of volunteers and rely on the generosity of peoples time.

One of our aims this year is to spread the UpRise message far and wide (and we have lots to tell you about!) so we were delighted to be covered in the Evening Standard, fingers crossed we’ll see a bit more of that. Read the article here.

    hey guys
i went to my first rise festival 3 years ago and was moved by the idea. i absolutely loved it.

i’m from SA and have seen my fair share of racism (on both sides) and have to say that what you guys are doing here is a beautiful thing.

people need to get over themselves and recognise that no matter what colour, language, religion etc we are we are all just people. people who are trying to live in a free and fair environment :)

I’m going to do a mention about the festival and your work on my blog. it doesn’t have the highest amount of traffic but every little helps right?

keep us posted on Uprise 2011. I wouldn’t miss it for anything.

    peace.
    Craig
